Are You Ok?

Location

“Are you ok?” you ask.

How am I to answer

Such a small, simple question?

Got a D+ on a test,

I studied hard every section.

My face is breaking out.

I hope this proactive helps.

I like this one girl,

But she likes someone else.

I think every day about

The day my friend died.

The weather is so cold,

Propane prices are so high.

I’m making money for college,

But minimum wage isn’t enough.

I have been working out,

But I’m still not tough.

I need to do scholarships,

But I choose games instead.

There are some past memories

That won’t leave my head.

There are so many answers,

To such a simple inquiry.

I’ll just say, “I’m fine”

Because I am, in theory.

But deep in my heart,

I know I am not.

I’m just a confused teen,

Who can’t untie this knot.
