Made of hard rock,
Bonded together with bolster,
You were the strongest of them all.
Higher, you were compared to others.
It seemed as if you had it all figured out,
As if you would last beyond all ages.

But, appearances can be deceitful.
There were things about you
That I didn't know.
I was stuck in my own world, filled with dragons and muses,
I was blind to your imperfections;
I wasn't attentive to your flaws,
Even those who were right there in front of me.

Goudou, Goudou!!!
In less than ten seconds,
You were gone.
Nature separated us.
It took you away from me,
Brought you to your knees, tarred you into pieces.
I was lost.
It was as if part of me no longer existed.

Today I am 1531 miles
Away from you,
And even though,
I brought with me some of your pieces,
It's still not enough.
There still in me a feeling of being incomplete.
It may never leave,
Because there is no other place
Like you,
That I can call Home.
