Apology to Self

Dear Faith,

I know, I get just how hard it gets

And all your struggles towards normalcy

I know, I get that it doesn't feel all that great

(And your coping skills can use work sometimes)

I'm sorry, Faith

I'm sorry for hating you, cutting you

I'm sorry for belittling

It's not fair, and it's not nice

You're colder to yourself than ice

We've gotten off track a few times, Faith

Doubt and fear, grief and anger stepped in

And we wanted to jump off the sinking ship

I'm sorry for giving up on you

You do know, you deserve the best life

You deserve better treatment than you give yourself

We're going to get through this, just like how we've survived thus far

We're going to make it

We just need some faith :)

<3 I love you, don't forget <3
