Another Dimension

I watch the skyline
The clouds are cast aside by the sun,
And the sun stretches across the skyline.
Everything begins to glow with intensity
The sky lights up, lights flicker, and wave.
Twinkles of light spark a new day.
As the day goes by, the lights fade,
And the shadows creep and crawl in.
Standing at the threshold of light and dark,
Is the brink of destruction, the edge of time.
My shadow looks at me, through
The other side of this portal.
My perspective changes, but my reality
Is still the same.
Looking at myself from the other side,
Trapped in another dimension.
