A.M. Thoughts

Sun, 02/07/2016 - 18:32 -- Edenney

Often I will find my self thinking how wonderful it would be

to take quick nap in my car in between my morning classes.

How I would like nothing more than to go swimming in a large mug of coffee

or to be wrapped up in the warm flaky layers of a cafeteria croissant.

How the teachers voice dissolves into a soft even hymn

that causes you to melt into your seat.

How you tell yourself it is okay to rest your heavy eyes for just a moment;

When in the midst of exhaustion "Have a good rest of your day class" goes ringing

through your ears and you know that you have made it through another day

in your 7:30 morning class.
