Always Grace

 

1 Peter 2:9

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, 

a people of His own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of The One 

Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light

1st Cor. 15:14

“the first Adam a living being,

the last Adam a life giving Spirit”

 

The first I understand a bit, but that after The Fall.

Adam was, we must admit, never to die at all.

The living being, he possessed, was life living in call.

A dying being, he became and left that for us all.

 

Jesus was a living being … like Adam before he fell?

Sinless, pure and clean … a deliverance from hell

Really there is much more to that as the Lord reveals

a life giving Spirit … a gift of Heaven’s dream.

 

He only died by taking our sins as He made these His Own.

He asked The Father to pass the cup before He died alone.

He was more than pure in flesh. His Spirit encompassed all Life

and never failed the expectation, as He served and loved and cried.

 

Jerusalem! Jerusalem! … How oft My plea to follow?

I wanted to take you under my wings and deliver you from sorrow.

I wanted to give my life to you. You know I had that power.

When I came to do just that, you killed and crushed this flower.

 

The lily of the valley was with you through all your rebellion.

Yes, the law was there to point … at My great Love and Salvation.

No natural was ever involved … I was here to show The Way.

for all to embrace in faith … as the full price I paid for My Nation.
