Altered
You may think you understand,
But what I've given you is a false sense of reality.
A bit of truth, twisted into an abnormality
Take the filter, let it go.
The one thing that you'll never know,
Is how one struggles when the lens cap is on.
No one wants to show you who they really are
There it is, the insecurities written on my sleeves
Tell me, how can I show you who I am,
When you're all I want to be?
We pose for pictures,
Trying to freeze a moment in time
When will we notice that what we've just captured,
Is a lie?
No camera's high quality
Can produce the true picture
Of what really goes on
When you remove the filter
