Alone

Location

Sitting in a dusky room all by herself

The words repeatedly playing in her head “it will be as if I never existed”

She curls up in a ball trying to pull herself together

The words give her pain she cannot bear to resist

Tears slowly make their way down her cheeks

She feels as if a hole was punched into her chest

Feeling like a lifeless zombie, numb and cold

She put on a fake smile and tried to look her best

Without him everything is dull and colorless

Like music without words and a heart that doesn’t beat

She wakes up to nightmares and screams in fright

The pain inside her chest swallowing her alive

Her eyes shut tightly as she falls forward

The pain begins to fade, feeling free at last

she falls into the ocean as she whispers her last words

Goodbye Edward…
