Alone 2

Proverbs 9:12

12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself,
And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.”

Alone

Let me stand alone … a flagpole in the wind

Colorless erected … a sore thumb a reminder

Some day I will serve … a memory with a tint

Mostly rejected as an obligation finder

Concrete as my base … a grave as cement

I can stand abuse or being ignored

Planted in haste as a temporary tent

A simple recluse … always being bored

The pride of the military … burned by the enemy

Lovers of peace step as me in their blind rage

Being mush in the contrary representing what seems free

They can’t let me be as in color white I drape
