An Alluring Gaze

Light reflects off her crystalline form,

a cacophony of color to mesmerize,

her dress snug against supple hips,

she dances,

painted lips upturned as she crooks

a manicured finger, beckoning

him closer as she bares

pointed teeth hidden beneath

a saccharine smile as she sings

her sweet siren’s song,

a soft cadence to draw him

in, soft sighs and batted lashes,

until he breaks and shuffles closer.

Her mouth waters as he steps

inside the smoky room,

and she waits, patient, for him

to close the door, the soft click

reverberating in her ears,

spurring her into motion,

sharp teeth and talons

embed into soft skin,

dragging him under,

a crimson sacrifice she’s

found to lay upon her altar,

her next meal,

in the city of flashing lights

and cigarette smoke.
