For if the people were to come together,
And love from their hearts the hearts of others,
There would be no strife in our life, only gain
Without pain if the world lived this way.
Who wouldn’t want worldwide joy?
Is communism the way to go? Is democracy
Just a ploy for mindness masses to enjoy?
But darkness comes to strike out the light.
Many fight in the streets for the right to be ruler.
The sun would dim and relationships cooler.
But if a kind hand and heart depart from
The depression of darkness and start
Again to love one another, then how could
We not consider the world our sister and brother?
Then we could again love from our heart to hearts of others,
And be of one people, all the world, together.
