All I Need

My grandfather is my family hero,

And nothing less than my superhero

When the cancer had come along,

I knew where I did belong.

By his side till the very end,

Since he is my best friend.

Now that he is in a better place,

There is no one that can replace

The bond and love he gave to me

So that is why I have the key

That keeps him close to my heart

And lets us never be apart.

On my necklace is his thumbprint

On the pendent by an imprint.

It is something that I never take off

Because whenever I am in a standoff,

I hold my necklace and ask

“Pop-pop, what should I do with this task?”

He may not be able to have a conversation

But I know he will always be my salvation.

So one thing I will always keep close

Is my necklace I adore the most.
