All I Ever Need Is That

The last thing I'd thought I had lost,

my thick oversized journal I wished I had it then,

And not stacked in boxes, my hubby has his prized books in

Those infallible words, and thoughts, and reflections and poems

Were all in that journal I thought I had a moment ago.

It is pink with white and dark pink dots, myfavorite one

I wished I had it near by but I don't,

Too many things left in there, papers and such

Were all in that journal I thought I had a moment ago.

Today I thought I had it in my tote bagm ready to leave

for the library and other such errands in town today

I am running around as a chicken without its heard looking,

Still in that journal I thought I had a moment ago.

Papers spilled, empty cups, and messy kitchen table but ah-there it is

but not with all its accessories pens and supplies

Its contents spilled out before me

In that journal I thought I had a moment ago.

All I ever need is that....
