All Ears Dark

The darkest room.
The dearest soul.
Finds comfort in its blackest hold

The world turned hard.
The broken heart.
Finds refuge in the silent dark

The lost and lonely.
Lightless and faint.
Find rescue in its clinging veins

Questions unanswered.
Screams unrealized.
It welcomes every hold on and goodbye

Nothing left.
Nothing right.
Find life within its starless light

Clawing scraping.
Running pounding.
Find safety in its alarm sounding

No one can hear it.
Or escape it.
Find acceptance in its soothing blanket

My favorite place in the whole world.
A stool, a hurting heart,
And the all ears dark
