Alive

out in the cold
just exhale
and see
your breath
in front of you
feel the cold
and chilly air
enter your lungs
see your cheeks
and your nose
turn pink
feel the cold grass
and the rough
bark of the tree
under your
cold fingertips
listen to the breeze
rustle the leaves
on the ground
whisper through the branches
big and tall
smell the decaying
leaves on the ground
the scent of pine needles
all around
taste the snowflakes
as they touch your tongue
and melt
just go outside
and
feel
alive
when your world seems
like it is crumbling down
