Alex/Alejandro

Hello, how are you?

Are you surprised? Were you expecting to hear "hola?"

Is this stranger different from what you thought you knew?

Would that differ if my skin was changed? Ink and white crayola.

Am I the brands that I wear?

If I were to bleed to death would you even care?

If I were to paint my skin would you remember my name?

Or would things still stay the same?

If I act like you would you remember my name?

Or would this way still remain?

If I cried would you even think I hurt like you do?

Would you treat me different if I dyed all my skin blue?

If I change my name would that be easier for you?

Maybe you'll see me if I act the same way that you do.

If I were to paint my skin would you remember my name?

Or would things stay the same?

If I act like you would you remember my name?

Or would this way still remain?

Two names, one whole,

when I use one you see not just a body but a soul.

Why do I feel you'd see me better if you were blind?

We are not so different deep inside.

If I were to paint my skin would you remember my name?

Or would things stay the same?

If  I act like you would you remember my name?

Or would this way still remain?
