Aguilla

age of 14 weight 126 pounds

wrestling season I was 8-0, my favor

I was very excited. Like a kid getting candy on halloween

to begin my last match of my wrestling season

My enemy  that went to carl sandburg

He had a stellar record of 6-2 his favor

I would win this match and be yearning to finish my year  with  9-0 of my 7th grade wrestling season

As I stepped on the scale like a big piece of  lunch meat

I was exactly 125.8 pouly pumped to win

The kid I was wrestling was his second year of wrestling while it was my 4th year of wrestling

A voice booming for the front table

̈126”

My Parents were on the stands watching my match and they were on facetime with my great grandpa

Watching my match.

We put on bands on our ankles and we started wrestling

2 minutes in the match I grabbed the kid and cradled him like a baby

I won the match. I was screaming out loud.

After the end of the match my parents picked me up from West Oak middle school

They told me they had bad news

They looked at me and to me,

 ¨great grandpa.¨

I was scared

What's going on?

They told me that my great grandpa had cancer

I broke down crying because I would never think that would ever

happen to my family

My great grandpa was a big guy weighing around

250 pounds

Had the deepest voices that was the smooth

I knew he was the one watching my match

He always cared about everyone and how they felt

He always  put a smile on my face

The season of wrestling had almost come to the end

Sectionals was all in my mind at this time

That week of sectionals my parents had told me that,

 ¨I couldn't  go to sectionals.¨

I was upset because I knew I could ́ve made it to state

But I had something else to focus on

It was my great Grandpa

My great grandpa was throwing up blood, Peeing blood, and wasn't feeling his best then he was before

It was a Saturday morning the sun was barely coming out

While we were on our way to Ohio

My great grandma told us to meet her at the hospital

We got really scared we were only 20 minutes away from my grandmas house.

So we turned around and went to the hospital.

We did a big u-turn like how a school bus did.

The roads were bumpy it had felt like a roller coaster.

We got the hospital and my great grandpa

Was laying down on the bed

The room was dark

And the only thing you could hear the beeping sound through the machine

While everyone was crying

My grandpa's eyes were closed

He knew he was about to go

Grandpa-Grandpa-Grandpa

He looked very pale and 60 pounds lighter that what he was before

He told us last minute that he wanted to be cremated

We all didn’t want that to happen.

He wanted it so we told him, ¨okay then.¨

I told my parents that I wanted to talk to him one on one.

They said okay

We sat there for a bit and told him

Grandpa relax and you will always be remembered

Him watching me

When I was a little kid he had always said,¨Aguilla¨

So I told him Aguilla and I held his hand.

My family came in and sat down.

And my great grandpa had passed away right next to me.

Grandpa?

Aguilla?
