Aging

Genesis 2:18

18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.

I will make a companion for him who corresponds to him.”

2 Corinthians 4:16New English Translation (NET Bible)

16 Therefore we do not despair, but even if our physical body is wearing away,

our inner person is being renewed day by day.

Aging

Get together in a group in search for the knowing

of the things beyond our grasp leaning on each other.

Trying to recoup ... and find the way of growing

and so to escape our past ... why should we even bother?

The wishing well of being old ... in thought to bring the answer

The aging of old habits ... good and bad perceived.

The flickering of the candle ... as it is slowly burning

running out of wax ... to everyone’s relief.

The young think that aging ... is only for the older.

The middle segment is too busy ... in experiments to survive.

The babies acting helpless ... in want for patience

the only ones who got it right ... are our impatient wives.
