Afraid of Rejection

Being rejected is a horrible thing

It's crazy how much pain it brings

Should I come on to you or should I wait?

But lets get one thing straight

I refuse to be turned down

I don't want to walk away with a frown

Rejection feels like being shot

And it really hurts a lot

It leaves my self esteem bare and naked

No confidence can be detected

It makes everything hectic

I scowl at my reflection

Longing for attention

The hurt might result in aggression

I'm just too afraid of rejection
