Adult Now

There’s nothing you can do to stop it. It will happen with or without you.

Eleven years all on your own. Well, just you and those other two.

Brother! Sister! Twins! Brother! You’re the oldest sibling now!

You had no way of understanding or knowing what or how.

But years have passed and through trial and error it seems you’ve done okay.

The first one soon will be a man the second one a lady, the two will dream up their own lands, and the last is still a baby.

Since the first so long ago, my childhood was gone. I found something greater though, so I guess not all was lost.

I haven’t figured it all out yet, but one thing I know is true. I’ll be there for them when ever they need me.

You know whatever it takes, I’ll do.
