Admiration differs from Love

Sun, 07/26/2015 - 11:15 -- Alexie

I admire a lot of people.
I admire Ed Sheeran, Gandhi, ... and him.
My classmate so poetic his words can be lethal.
The way he talks is also so prim.
Well-mannered and nice
Smart and a bit mischievous adds some spice
I admire him
And he inspires me
Yet why can't the others see?
They misinterpret the word admiration for love.
Don't they know the one I hold dear hasn't fallen from above?
It irritates me to hear them say, "Alexie loves him!"
They laugh and they grin.
And he looks at me problematic
Oh, how tragic
When push comes to shove
What should I do?
He misunderstood
I yelled and said what I could
But they couldn't admit that admiration differs from love.
