Who am I to deny who I am?
It may not be right
It isn’t desirable
But I’m not going to pretend

The way people act
Dress
Forget
Forsake
Did I mention I disagree?
I won’t conform to what others tell me to be

I don’t believe I’m a saint
But if humans are sinners taint
And indulge upon temptations
I suppose I’ll be unhappy and preserve the shred of decency still present in the nations

I’ve been told I’m stubborn
And I’ve been told I’ll fall
Well, challenge accepted
I am no better, but I’ll set an example to all
As a director does to the directed
It’s more than a dare, I do solemnly swear
My morals may be tested but will remain
Even if it means a life of pain

I will not be a zero
Despite sacrifice, I want to be a hero
Because I want to be someone I can truly believe in
Rely on
Respect
And be proud of
