The Actress of The Midwest

They call me the actress Because I like to speak I’m wild and daring Not calming or meek But beneath this blonde hair dye Stage make-up of rose Are thoughts much more deep Than what people suppose I see my own faults Though you would never guess I care about your feelings Not just how you dress I feel lonely, sad, and bored at times too You suppose I’m sunny, not depressed and blue But I have to admit When I’m in front of a crowd I perform my best To make them cheer loud The difference, you see, is who I may be You may not know but the character is me My emotions pour over without my release The cage must be opened, to let out the beast This is all me One hundred percent But you think I am another Not what I meant
