Acceptance.

Hiding from other children

Once a precious treasure

Glistening dumplings

Seafood soups

Marinated meats

Tempt breaks my heart,

As we are forced to part.

I abandon myself.

Smiling as I join with

Peanut butter and jelly

Steak

Burgers

Pancakes

Waffles

Apple Pies

Pumpkin Pies

Chili Cheese Fries

Fries

Fries

Fries

The grass was greener on the other side

But now I have found that there is ABSOLUTELY

NO ONE in which I can confide

Fries

Fries

Fries

Until I turn around

Seeing the children suddenly change

Something strange

Teriyaki chicken

Szechuan spices

Mouthwatering durian

Years of shame for nothing.

Rediscovering myself

Finding myself

Learning to love myself.

Embracing this truth

I am who I am.

Leading by example

That I am who I am.

And there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that.
