Accept

We live in a world where no one is accepted

It’s 2014 and nothing much has changed

Society is way harsher now than it was in 1960

1960 was the time where everyone accepted each other for who they were

No matter how you looked or what gender you were not even your sexual preference was ever to be judge

The people before would welcome you in with open arms they would love you no matter what

But look at us now?

Now every time we see somebody walk we judge

We don’t even take the time to judge our self before judging them

We hate people for loving the same gender

Not only that but we find flaws to judge them for

We must admit that as humans we are judgmental people

Yet our parents have taught us to again and again to accept people for who they are

Never to judge and never to speak words of hate

The truth is we would have a better world with acceptance

Yet, we seem further away from that goal

Yes, people might say that we are making progress and what not

But, honestly it’s not good enough to make change occur

If I could, I would change all the hate and judgmental statements for acceptance

Acceptance is the key to the happiness of one self

And the key to happiness of others

The only change I would ever want is more acceptance within our society
