Abandoned Dreamer
Location
The mirror before her
Shows different from the view within.
Stiches sewn along her two lips
I see her bloody outcry.
Black blue and purple covering her pale white flesh
I feel her moonless torment.
Outwardly she is useless
Determined the heartless bullies.
The soulless demons who torture
The pure innocent.
One by one the devils slash her pride
Two by two she grows stronger inside.
Her safe haven, her existence
All contained in the self.
She knows her purpose in life
Is to help those who also live inside.
The cloth that surround her began to be her shield
That slowly bleed her real beautiful colors.
That girl is I,
The one who lived inside.
Difference is what I accepted
Self expression is what I crave.
Because no bruises and stones can define me
I have a mind inside,
I am a fierce diva within.
Fashion buying is this abandoned dreamer’s dream.
