7 Layers

School is short for seniors

Even shorter when the year is at end

I go to his friends house

Cause I've lived here my whole life

And I like how he holds my hand

So why not

We sit wrapped in layers of blankets

Four people

Two intertwined

Me stiff as a board

And I like how he holds my hand

So I think why not

With Aladdin on the screen

He holds my hand

And then my waist

And then my heart

As we submerge beneath the layers

And the warmth is enough to make me cry
