Life was trying to overcome death

But cancer doesn't like to say yes to life

One day later no more pain, no more strife.

6 Months Ago Today

She let go, she took her final breath

But she didn't give in to death.

God just let her sleep

I know now she is no longer in pain

Now loudly i will sing every refrain.

6 months ago tomorrow

I woke up wanting to tell her hi

Realizing the night before,

I was forced to say good-bye

I made myself go back to school,

I tried really hard, to keep my cool
