4/5/15 pt.2
You exhaled empty promises like carbon dioxide.
And I inhale them like oxygen.
I guess that’s why whenever I was with you, you took my breath away.
And when you walked away was when I could finally breathe.
And maybe whenever I hear the train
I think of it’s steam filling up my lungs
trying to mock the way you once made me feel.
I guess that’s where the pain in my chest comes from every time I hear it.
Maybe you never stole my heart at all, you just attacked it.
