The 4 L's of Lake Life

A path that leads to nowhere can lead anywhere.

A dead end leads to endless possibilities.

A place where the trees whisper summer’s name,

Where birds sing to your soul as the new dawn arrives,

A place where the sun caresses your skin,

And the wind tickles your face.

A place that envelopes you so fully in happiness,

Your heart overflows with joy.

It is a place that makes you feel like you belong.

The meaning of summer is fulfilled here.

Family, friends, freedom, laughter, smiles, and contentment

A simple life is lived in this place,

But it is the way life should be lived.

Free as a bird,

Without a worry or care in the world,

Living every day to the fullest.

Not living in the past,

Or wondering what will happen in the future,

Just what is happening at this moment

Because you will never have it again.

Savoring the last delicious rays of honey

As the sun lays down on the horizon

And the remnants of light disappear.

Remembering this sensation.

Waiting and watching stars appear against the black sky.

Wondering why it must end,

Why you must return to reality,

Why life must continue on,

When all you want to do is stay there forever,

Living, Laughing, Loving, and Lingering at the lake.
