3

You left a hole a mile wide
And now I know how it feels to die
This burning pit and vast alone
I hate that you left but I’m glad you’re gone
How could you shred my heart like this
When I gave you trust upon my lips
When I gave you life within my hand
How did we meet this empty end?
Why did you choose what you did
Why her bed and not my kiss
What made you think it was okay
To tell the truth and ask me to stay
I deserve someone for me
Someone who sees what I see
Someone who won’t hold me during the day
But at night go a separate way
I want to care and be cared for
But you didn’t do that. And you won’t anymore.
