Brother Down
Location
Where my brother?
Where were you when they took my brother?
Can you hear him? He is safe now, he has made it home,
But why did you let him take my brother!
We was not saint nor sinner but he was my brother.
Why that man had to go and take my po' po' brother?
He wasn't harmin' no one, or botherin' no one, but you take it
apon yourself to serve justice, but justice has fled, blood has shed to the ground
now my po' brother down.
Did he take you fo' some average criminal? Do he shot you dead?!
No 'cause you walkin' round free as a songbird in the heat of spring
walkin' free as if you didn't shed his crimson blood onto
the cold grey concrete, as if you didn't pull the trigger that took his youth and innocence.
IT WAS YOU, YOU TOOK MY BROTHER! WHY YOU DO IT!
MY BROTHER DOWN AND ITS YOU THAT'S TO BLAME!
But now he in our father's right hand, shedding tears of righousness, and
justice. HE is my brother down, but now the angel of justice, because of your injustice.
