A Ship That's Unmanned

Sun, 01/05/2025 - 21:20 -- kb07

From the path I am veering

With nobody steering

In a sea of things unplanned

I am a ship that’s unmanned

Having realizations that’ll last for a day

Little changes that will go away

And in the pressure of thunderous lies

I capsize

Over and over like the waves at my bow

The solutions are clear but I still don’t know how

In the shadow of a cruise ship

I sit and I sit

and hope as I split

for the tides to shift

I will keep waiting to wake up

Nothing is quite enough

Steering with eyes shut

Then waiting to find the land

Like a ship that’s unmanned

I am a ship that's unmanned
