What life we leave for our children
My world may seem like a mess,
however I believe that all of the struggling
obstacles that are thrown in our way
are only proof that there is a higher power.
I firmly believe that this higher power
exposes us to the greatest of challenges
so that we can successfully conquer
and overcome them while creatively and
necessarily guiding our children away from
darkness. These character traits or imprints
that we choose to follow will eventually
end up being permanently sketched in
our mind and shared with those we love
as memories. One day we will all be called
home and this is why it is so important that
we leave behind what we think are imprints
and character traits to our children whom see
them only as the beautiful childhood memories
they remember bits and pieces of. Memories
that they too etch in their brain to share with
their children. Life is not supposed to be easy.
Nobody said it would be. There are some really
tough choices we all need to make and different
paths we chose to follow. Following the wrong
one doesn’t make you a bad person it just teaches
you more about who you are and what you want
to leave behind. I choose to leave nothing but the
glorious joy I witness in everyday simplicity.
People helping other people that they don’t know,
doctors finding cures for terrible diseases that have
taken to many, teachers that witness and put an end to
bullying in their classrooms, the wealthy donating to the poor,
and the beautiful instance when we see infants cries
being hushed just by hearing a familiar song their
mothers sing. That familiar song is the one that has
been imprinted on them without them even realizing it.
It guided them in transforming from something so small
to something so pure, powerful, and meaningful- LIFE!!!
