Can't Seem To Outrun This Insanity

Trying to avoid this calamity

Can’t seem to outrun this insanity

Barefoot walking through a city of glass

Separating the future and the past

Walking through life totally unaware

There’s no one who can understand or care

Experiences, whether good or bad

We’re treated like the latest social fad

I’m not in a box, or book you can read

None of those writings, can make your soul bleed

My animal behavior leads to fear

Crying from inside out, without a tear

What I am feeling inside, isn’t okay

And never matches, what I do or say

The raging beast within, you fail to court

No wonder your treatments always fall short

But I can’t tell you how to get there

Paths aren’t the same for two people to share

Trying to avoid this calamity

Can’t seem to outrun this insanity
