Why have we named our emotions?

To an extent that we need to name

What we feel when we feel it

The constant necessity to tell people

Of the love, hate or rage

Burning in our hearts

But how do we know

The precision of the feeling 

Or the extremity of it?

I wish we had never been taught

To label how we felt

So we could express them through actions

Instead of hollow, futile words
