War is Hell
War is hell.
People die, gasping for breath,
Struggling to survive,
The things they carried on their backs weigh them down like chains,
Drowning them.
They drown in regret,
They drown in sorrow,
They drown in fear,
They drown in hatred.
People often ask why they simply did not just get up,
Never understanding the weight they felt,
The struggle every step was.
Every moment was a battle,
And war is hell.
