Insomniac

Dark Eyes meet the worldWith an apathetic glaze;Emotions unreachableOn this particular day. One foot follows the other.Time kept by the clock.Escape the suffocation-Shuffle, stumble, trudge and walk. Robotically write; softly speak, Pen to paper, eyes cast low,Accept what is given;Let not the world know.  Heavy fog slowly settlesAnd so the world blurs,Away into grey nothingnessThat must always be endured.  Such a sad smile, Never touches the soul.A life without meaning. Eyes so listless; eyes so dull.  Dungeon room is always safeFrom Prying Eyes who seek to aid. "Nothing wrong; all is fine"Repeated day by day. Sun has settled; Moon is risen.Purgatorial bed awaits.Bright Eyes slips into sweet slumber;Dark Eyes remains awake.
