Be Careful
Be careful what you wish for
Cause wishes do come true
Be careful what you give away
Cause someday,
It may return to you.
Be careful what you ask for
Better think it through
Never know what’s in tomorrow
So be careful what you choose.
For sorrow comes from carelessness
And pain from hasty words.
Better to build up people in love
Than tear them down in hurt
And when the going gets too tough
For you to continue on
Don’t resort to magic fairies
Or wishing on the sun
Keep your eyes on the goal ahead
Is it worth the trek?
If so, then you must keep going.
You haven’t reached it yet!
Be careful what you dream of
For dreams are sometimes right
Be careful where you wish to go
For someday you just might.
Be careful who you choose to love
But remember the choice may not be yours.
Never know what may come to be
Hurting hearts could start world wars.
For hatred bleeds from thoughtlessness
And tears spring from broken hearts.
We spew out anger and hurtful words
And tear others apart.
When life presents us disappointment
On a silver platter
We can just stand around and ignore it,
Act like it doesn’t matter.
The pain inside must be let out,
But we should be ever aware.
For our pain shouldn’t bring tears to others,
Nor should we be a bear.
We must remember not to grow weary
With our deeds and thoughts of good.
For wishing is for those who don’t have
The security they should.
Be careful what you wish for,
For it might just come true.
Be careful what you deal out,
It will be dealt back to you.
