Blue Tears

Location

She is beautiful.

Like a ray of sunshine

On a field of purple wildflowers.

Her hair streams golden down her back

Her slender fingers trace lightly

The flowers of the field.

A sad little smile appears, just barely

Pulling at the corners of her mouth.

He sees her.

He tries to move forward

But another figure, with raven black hair

Pulls him back

Suddenly he is intoxicated

With her presence

Eyes black as night

Sweetheart face framed by

Dark itself.

He looks to the angel

With golden hair and deep blue eyes.

She shakes her head.

The sad smile tugging again,

Tugging on his heart.

He turns again,

His back against the wildflowers

The angel dips her head

A lone blue tear carving a

River through the field of lavender.
