My life has not been the smoothest of roads,

My family gave me the safest abode.

The lord has helped me find my way,

And given me something to say.

All my days I’ll try to life

And give all that I have to give.

I’ll always try to do my best

And forgive as far as east is west.

If I fail along this journey,

God will tell me not to worry

For when he shows me his true light,

Even the darkest day will turn in flight.

And when my life does come to end

He’ll say to me, well done good friend.
