WHAT TO SAY?

I know many things won’t change.
For people do not haphazardly falter in their beliefs.
But, given a chance, I might be able to complete my substantial beliefs and give it away to those who would accept it.
For I know not who would obey or who would be dismayed by it.
All I know is what I would say.
What I would say to the world in the given day.
Only a couple words, then the moment would be over.
My words would remain to those who heard, but others might run for cover.

I would say it loud and quick before the moment was snitched away, for I know chances don’t come like this every day.
When my time has come to say what I must say to the world, I would stand tall.
I would try and be brave, for the whole world is watching me and heeding in what I say.
Getting ready to speak I stand up and say, nothing.
Nothing, but a quiet peep.

They all talked amongst each other, whispering that turned to a rumbling of unamused voices.
They all expected me to speak.
Speak the words that would change the way we think.
But, I did not say a word.

I stood in silence as the eyes of the many watched with eyes colored in forlorness.
The world grew silent; speech ran dry in the world, for they still waited for me to take my turn to speak.
Silence turned to shudders in the night.
As we stayed there all night.

The light finally came, bringing a new day, now my chance to speak was faltered in my supremeness not to say a word.
But, what they didn't see was that is what I wanted to say.
Nothing.
I wanted to show the world what silence could say, how much it could convey.
The world is a dark place, especially to those who speak heartlessness to others, then walk their own way.
They would never know the pain many people feel when words, with such spitefulness, are thrown their way.
Silence is the cure to those who are impure in speech.

So to change one thing, whether it is for a day, month, year, or forever, would be the silencing of those who bring pain on others.
For they deserve a day of silence, the purest in nature.
These are the people who we should fight for, the ones who always hold tight, in the midst of their fight.
They don't give up and must be reminded to keep on being brave.
Fight your fight!
These are the people who need the change.
For they are braver than anyone out there, in the vast world, and they all have a name.
